METALTECH 2026: Solarlink Energy Showcases Solar & BESS Solutions for a Sustainable Energy Future

The Solarlink Energy leadership team at METALTECH 2026: Ms. Sue Lee (CFO), Mr. Jen Theoh (CTO), Mr. Amirulzaman (O&M Director), and Mr. Victor Chang (CEO), driving innovation and collaboration in the renewable energy industry.

The dates were 20th to 23rd May 2026. The air was buzzing with excitement, and the atmosphere was electric…(pun fully intended).

We have joined METALTECH in MITEC, Kuala Lumpur before, but this time would be different. This year would mark something more special, a special milestone of sorts.

LET’S SET THE SCENE

Over four days with more than 20,000 visitors beating a path to our booth and with an excess of 1,500 exhibitors from all over the world, Solarlink Energy proudly showcased our newly designed booth with numerous interesting exhibits, from hybrid inverters to a miniature model of a Battery Energy Storage System (B.E.S.S.) which allowed our visitors to have a more hands-on demonstration of the capabilities of solar and BESS, while also bringing them hope - hope for a future that is beholden to no strait remaining open during times of war and tied to zero barrels of crude oil.

For context, our mission statement was and always has been - To EDUCATE on the power of solar, ENCOURAGE the prioritisation of sustainability, and ENERGISE through the power of the sun. We are glad that we were able to successfully do all three over the course of METALTECH! 

THE ROAD TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY

One of our key points that really resonated with people at METALTECH was not just that we could reduce their bills, but rather, it was the uncertainty and instability of surrounding circumstances that make their bills relatively hard to budget for, especially with the war in Iran and fuel prices being even more volatile than cryptocurrency. .

That’s where Solarlink Energy comes in to save the day!

We stand on the precipice of what could be a wholly energy independent future for the country. Very simply put, during the day when the sun is out, solar panels can generate electricity and with proper planning and sizing appropriately for a BESS unit, your night time electricity can be taken care of having been charged throughout the day from the excess electricity generated via your solar system.

This was what most likely caught the attention of everyone who stopped by our booth, as well as the lights that our marketing team whipped out for our MOU signings. Yes, we signed three Memorandums Of Understanding (M.O.U.) during METALTECH with the following three powerhouses of our industry - Antai, Harriott Hospitality, and Tera VA.

On 21 May 2026, Solarlink Energy successfully signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Antai Solar and

A-ESS Energy during METALTECH 2026 at MITEC Kuala Lumpur, marking important milestones in strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Firstly, we are pleased to announce that Antai will be our exclusive provider of solar mounting structures. Whether you are looking for ground-mounted or roof-mounted, rail or ballast, Y-shape or W-shape, chances are, Antai has them all…and now, so does Solarlink Energy. Not to mention, with them being in the industry since 2006, you know that their two decades of experience and expertise in C&I and large-scale solar not only makes them an obvious choice, but, dare we say, the only choice.

Next, we have partnered with Harriott Hospitality as their official technical partner to level up their BESS game as they seek to provide solutions for clients in the hospitality industry. You know what this means - Hospitality, now with that signature Solarlink Energy flair.

Our third partner, Tera VA, has been around since 2011 and is also proudly homegrown in Malaysia. With the expansion of their business into BESS, Solarlink Energy has officially been appointed as the exclusive Southern Distributor for SunGrow ESS container solutions and FOX ESS cabinet solutions, which is a firm recognition of our technical expertise in the BESS arena.

A key highlight of METALTECH 2026 was the successful MoU signing between Solarlink Energy and TERA VA, strengthening strategic cooperation in the deployment and development of BESS solutions.
